I wonder if that will pan out - will someone actually pay that bill?  How often does something like this end up with the bidder defaulting?

The bid history is kind of interesting...

Not sure, but it looks like the Private bidder was bidding it up for Seller. Then the battle between (682) & (1724) started. Then (48) swooped in and took it. Top 2 bidders probably put in the crazy bids both figuring noone would go that high.. to make sure they got it. Funny how things can backfire like that.

Would be interesting if both bailed on the auction and we see it relisted. Too bad,.. i really wanted it because it was one of my favorites back at the arcade in the 80s. I missed out on it a few years back. Thought this was my chance, but at that price ill probably never have it.

There is/was NO fraud or collusion or market manipulation with the sale of Jungle Hunt.

Yeah, I suspect this was just a deep pocketed collector who originally missed out. That said, that YouTube video is pretty interesting and a must watch for anyone following the graded game market/bubble/scam.

This game attracts 2 kinds of collectors. Intellivision ans Atari collectors. And many Atari collectors have deep pockets.
