I glance at Destructoid now and then.  It has some of the same click baity sensationalist headlines but on the whole it's not nearly as bad as Kotaku is.

I remember it both, and also a blatant side taking shill too.  They were the 90s version of 2000s internet clickbait through the use of disinformation, false stories as 'rumor says...', and just trolling.  I'm not just saying it as a negative, I mean it, but it worked for them to get a lot of subs.  If you weren't a Nintendo fan for instance and more so a fan of NP magazine, then you'd utterly love it given their colorful half truths and falsehoods about things for years.  Yet if you were a fan of certain systems over others they were too, it was a masterpiece to read.
