Where is the repository for the latest version located?

only use the master branch of RespeQT 5.3 as develop branch 5.3 will brick certain cartridges during programming...

RespeQT 5.4 was moving along and then blammo... all went silent...

this master branch is far behind with pr's and commits needing attention. @ebiguy, successors, etc etc.. maybe everyone can get together and stitch/fix up a couple things... and get a release of 5.3x or 5.4...

Is there a location where you can download a Windows 64bit version already compiled and ready to install?  All I saw on the link above was source and stuff...

Current version is 5.3 available at:

https://github.com/RespeQt/RespeQt/releases/tag/r5.3

No installation required, just run RespeQT/RespeQT.exe once the zip has been extracted.

Just beware this version doesn't properly handle ATRs with sector sizes larger than 256 bytes. I noticed the issue with The!Cart programming images (8k sector size) but 512-bytes-per-sector ATRs (like used with SpartaDos by some users) are broken, too.

If you don't plan to use such ATRs then 5.3 should be fine - otherwise use the latest 4.x version or compile the fixed 5 version from the master branch.

so long,

Thanks for finding the bug. I find this regression in RespeQt very critical...

But since the remedy is known and available since months - what hinders @ebiguy to create a new release?

I got confused when the fix wasn't in the develop branch and it was in the master but all of the fixes and pulls weren't folded in... after this bit BBS backups in the *ss a handful of us just use things in passing for pclink stuff, which was fixed at some point but not sure if it still is.

A sorting out and release is sorely needed and has been needed for a number of years, it just seems none of us have spare hours in these tough times.

There was some discussion on the ABBUC forum and now JoSch picked up the work and published the first 5.4 release candidate

https://github.com/josch1710/RespeQt/releases/tag/v5.4RC1

He's doing this in his repo as he didn't manage to get in contact with ebiguy so he couldn't get full access to the RespeQt repo
