vkcpolice
Hi all. im still having issues finding a monitor for my atari st so i thought id just go out and get an atari st composite cable. i now have this cable but on my monitor/tv i still get no signal using the composite lead? is the composite signal also at a certain sync that modern tvs cant display? thanks
TGB1718
From what I've seen, most Modern TV's don't have composite video in. Are you sure it can accept composite video ? Check the manual and see what it says for composite.
ParanoidLittleMan
What is exact Atari model ? Early ones, without RF modulator do not have composite out. Then, to what input you connected it on TV ? What is TV model exactly ? If it has RGB input will get much better pic. Assuming that TV can work on Atari's scan frequencies. djglish
Some composite cables use a different color coding for the plugs. On my cable it's the black lead that actually has the composite signal out.

It's not that uncommon, depending on the age of the TV, Seemed like every TV had composite into the 2010's. Nowadays everything is mostly HDMI, but you can find models with composite or component if you check the specs.

R.Cade
Composite should be on pin 2 if your ST has FM modulator.

I think we're seeing differences between European and U.S. models.
