Tomy Tutor/Pyuta/PyutaJr Games & Homebrews MegaPack for MiSTer and MAME

*** Tomy Tutor/Pyuuta/PyuutaJr: Games & Homebrews MegaPack for MiSTer and MAME - by TMOP ***

Due to the recent release of the beta core for Tomy Tutor for MiSTer FPGA (see MiSTer Tomy Tutor Core) I decided to prepare a MegaPack to have in one .zip all the released games and homebrews. I've also included a Excel file in which, for each game/homebrew, there are the tests results and some additional information.

If you have some carts/homebrews not in this pack, but in the list, please share them, so can be included in the next update!

Have fun! ?

Would be nice to add some tapes too but I haven't no one of them ?

Maybe @Ksarul could help for them?

Yes, it will be great to have some .wav for tapes. The developer of the core (Flandango) is trying to add tape support and this will surely help to check the accuracy of the implementation.

Actually, you probably need to add the games @Mobsie ported to the Tutor (I think he's posted most of the ones he's converted here on AtariAge), along with the port of @retroclouds Pitfall!, and a couple of other Japanese homebrews I've seen out there (Door Door and one other that I can't remember the name of at the moment). Pitfall and Door Door are both on the Pyuuta multicarts.

I put a book full of Pyuuta tape program listings up here on the site a while back, and an extensive set of magazine type-in program listings a few weeks ago.

I don't have anything set up to reliably read in the small number of tapes I do have to convert them into WAV files, unfortunately.

Ah yes, I remember that games but I can't find a working link for the download here on AA, any help?
I also remember TI Scramble has been converted for the Pyuuta, isn't it?

as the cassette tapes, i suspect they should be very similar to the TI99 ones, so maybe you could try to use the same method to create a .wav?

Thanks, these were already included in the pack. If you look at the Excel file, the missing homebrew are: Tombstone city, Ti scramble, Beyond Parsec, Pitfall and DoorDoor. Not able to find a .bin dump.

Anyone has these .bin files?

Here's two of them.  I haven't dumped Pitfall yet.

Scramble does not have the usual header for cartridges.

Edit: I'm thinking in TI-99 terms, sorry. Don't know about the Tutor/Pyuuta.

Thanks. This is working fine with MAME/MESS. Any idea why instead Scramble and Door Door are not showing the cart in such emulator?

Not sure.  They are the two halves of the 64K ROM image that makes up a 32K/32K multicart from @tanam1972.  This cartridge uses more address lines on the back of the system, so maybe that has something to do with it?  If so, the emulators need to add this method.

All the Pyuuta carts I've seen begin with 5555.  To me, that's analogous to the AA01 we see on the TI.

ok, thanks. I've tried also on the last core for MiSTer, but are not working.

Thanks @tanam1972 for the updated roms.  I got a core update going out soon as soon as I finish some more testing that includes ram options for various banks and fixes a minor cpu issue that causes the missing characters in DoorDoor.

I do have a question for you.  Do you keep the bank at 6000-7FFF permanently as ram or do you do some rom detection and switch it between rom/ram?  I had found that if I left it as RAM, some games eventually got corrupted.  I currently have it to were the user can turn each bank on or off but was thinking of detecting the 8K of blank (x00) data in the rom and automatically switching that bank to RAM.

Here is what I currently have as the beta core with manual ram bank selection and cpu fix....
