Hours and hours of fun to play, and endless fun to create new worlds with the editor. 837741 I had tons of fun with Oids.. too bad I bought Dungeon Master the same day or I might have found out it was so much fun alot sooner... techie_alison
Roughly ones I showed an interest in during the ST years.. Xenon II (death incarnite) Xenon (our PSX2 kids comment on it) Bubble Bobble (2 player with the kids for hours) Elite+ (try getting to Elite on a BBC B then play this) Blood Money Carrier Command Starglider 2 Oids International Karate+ Wizball Populous Head over Heels Outrun (dreadful gameplay, good memories) Captain Blood (quite perculiar and very French) Starquake Star Wars (memories again) Whirligig (memories of having spent £14.99 one wet Saturday morning) Chuckie Egg I && II Leisure Suit Larry, Police Quest etc. (completed LSLLLL) Driller
Alex H
Trying to remember the games that got played most... In no particular order... Llamatron Star Wars (superb port of the arcade game) Star Raiders (beautiful graphics for an early title) Sensible Soccer Arkanoid Bubble Bobble Rainbow Islands BombJack Space Harrier Super Sprint Buggy Boy Ikari Warriors Joust Time Bandit Oids Megaroids (very playable medium/hi-res Asteroids game) Lemmings The Pawn Xenon Xevious Jupiter Probe Hades Nebula Match-It Switchblade IK+ Mud Pies (crusty, bit I still enjoyed it) Major Motion (Spy Hunter - shoddy frame rate and sluggish controls but still got played a lot) Crack'ed (mouse control - much better than the 7800 version)
ubikuberalles
The game I've played the most on my ST computers and wasted the most time in my early adult years is: Empire: Wargame of the Century Second on the list is Oids. I love that game. After that are a few shareware games: Daleks and Celestial Caesars.
Rodan
Dungeon Master and its sequel were my favorites but I had a lot of fun with these as well: Bloodwych Colonial Conquest Bard's Tale Full Count Baseball Goldrunner Phantasie Series Obliterator Blood Money
doctorclu
Honestly, I spent most of my time logged on to BBS's when I had my ST. So the game which I probably played most was TRADEWARS. Oh the days of text based video games.. 565750 On that thoought my time on a ST was spent with Freeze Dried term and playing LEGEND OF THE RED DRAGON. And Trade Wars is a all time Favorite. So favorite app/Game on the ST... FREEZE DRIED TERM. Just like Bobterm and Ice-T are my favs on the Atari 800. Still BBS'ing. +DarkLord
Dungeon Master and its sequel were my favorites but I had a lot of fun with these as well: Bloodwych Colonial Conquest Bard's Tale Full Count Baseball Goldrunner Phantasie Series Obliterator Blood Money 892919 I have to ask, did you (or anyone else?) ever *beat* Bards Tale? Man, the hours I spent on that game as well. I still remember that place in Harkyns Castle where 99 groups of 99 berzerkers attack you. Geez, if you didn't have a dragon up front to flame them, you were pretty well history. Of course, having your spell casters at a level where they could cast mass effect spells helped a lot as well. I have an archmage (top level, all 4 magic classes). I pulled that game out, wiped off the cobwebs and played it the other day. Still wonderful, love getting my Bard drunk and letting him play that staggered brand of music. <grin> I guess some could argue that there the mazes are too hard and repetitive, as well as a bit too much text in the game, but you can set it to scroll faster. I also love that dragons head and the fly in that one bar. Hilarious! Sadly, one of my Bards Tale disks appears to be finally wearing out. It takes a couple of tries each time before it recognizes it. I really need to get a backup copy somewhere. See ya! :-)

It is now very hard to find and has a present eBay value of over $100.00.
Albert
I played a hell of a lot of games on the Atari ST, and many of them were quite enjoyable! Reading through this thread brought back a lot of memories, from games such as Oids, Xenon II, Blood Money ("The biggest unanswered question is, Where Is The Money?"), Starglider, Sundog: A Frozen Legacy, and so many more. But by far, Dungeon Master would have to top the list of my favorite Atari ST games. ..Al
jefffulton
Hey AtariKing. Phantasie III was fun and had improved graphics, but I remember wanting "BLACK KNIGHTS" in my Phantasie games. But you are right, it was a very good game. I have a commercial version of it some place. I would never sell it though...unless the ebay price was $500... Clock
Errr, no mention of Starquake? was this gem not released in North America? That is definately my favourite ST game.
jens
The game I've played the most on my ST computers and wasted the most time in my early adult years is: Empire: Wargame of the Century Yes - many long nights spent on this game. I also like Monkey Island which runs on a TT in TT-medium. On a Falcon you have to fiddle around with resolutions to play it.
