NeonSpaceBeagle
I fried THREE game gears using the wrong power supplies Is there anyway to salvage these?
catmando
Atari Lynx power supply is also 9v 1A spec, with positive pin, so should work on a Nomad too. Might need an adaptor to make the plug bigger though. Edited October 27, 2021 by catmando

If you just fried the power board, you can get a CleanPower power board from RetroSix for under $20 that will also make your batteries last longer. It uses a USB-C power port, though, so if you want to keep using the old brick, that’s not an option. I have a Japanese Game Gear and can confirm it needs the older Model 1 power supply. Rugar
I have european model GameGear with center negative and PSU model 3025 for Master System 1. Plug fit and console turn on. Btw that console needs a recap so I didn't get a real picture but just a bright screen. Can i use this PSU on GameGear, because it says it can only be used for a Master System and Genesis 1? CatPix
Yes. I'm doing it with my Japanese GG. A friend of mine has been doing it with his childhood GG until today!
