"Pitfall!" came out (also 1982) and became the "best." And then "Pitfall II" (1983) took the crown.

I never noticed any better graphics in Pitfall II compared to the original Pitfall. Apart from that it added a sky above the trees.

My vote goes to Solaris.

What about Kung-Fu Master? That game almost had perfect graphics! Everyone says that game stinks, but I don't think it's half bad (it's not whole bad either, for those sarcastic types)

I'm clearly in a minority (perhaps of 1 !) here, but I actually really like Kung Fu Master on the 2600. It looks fabulous for a 2600 game, maintains much of the soundtrack of the arcade game, and I really enjoy playing it. I remember being amazed that it could be done that well on the 2600 when I first played it, and was shocked to read that most people think it's rubbish. Yes, you can't jump kick, but it's still perfectly playable, and I can get as far on the 2600 version as I can on any of the others

Dear God, I wrote that on this forum twenty years ago. I was 14 years old.
