Some day maybe I'll post some scans... my scanner has pooped out on me and I haven't gotten to buy a new one.

You've got to remember this though: I've been hunting games in thrifts since 1993 or 1994 -- so I've had quite a bit of hunting under my belt to for just a few really good trips.

...and then there's Ben. Good Lord!

Harry,

I can't believe you've found all those games in the wild! Over how long a period of time are we talking about here? And were they all found in the area of Glendora?? I don't think I've found anything of merit in the wild, most of my rare stuff has been the result of trades, kind souls giving them to me, or simply purchasing them on eBay. Certainly not as satisfying, but I started collecting when things started to dry up. And I've been fortunate to live in some pretty dry areas, apparently!

Some of the rarest I found in the past includes sealed SwordQuest: Water World for $3, new Atlantis game with the sticker for Atlantis 2, a number of Telesys and US Games cart in both plain and fancy case style. Oh yeah and found a Glib that was later thrown out in the trash.

My rarest find in the wild was walking into a Salvation Army and seeing literally 2 shopping carts full of loose carts. Ended up finding 3 Death Traps and 2 Chase the Chuckwagons in that bunch. $.50 each.

I have also found CtCW one other time for 12.5 cents. It was half price day so I ended up getting 2 carts for a quarter.

Others I have found are Waterworld, Crazy Climber, Glib, Sir Lancelot, Tomarc and both Atari Video and Rubik's Cube games. While it is not very rare from things I have heard none of the other collectors in the area have ever seen one, I did find Sunrise Quest for Quitana Roo in a thrift.

Rest of my collection (no pics yet) is at my homepage.

You guys are making me jealous... The best finds that I've found are:

Mr. Basic Meets Bits & Bytes (INTV, with box, manual, and all overlays)

Dr. Seuss Fix Up The Mix Up Puzzler (ColecoVision, cart only)

Maxi 15 (Nintendo, cart only)

As far as I know, all three of these are ER's or so. It's no Chase the Chuckwagon, but I think that's not too bad for little more than a year of collecting (Or has it been longer than that?). The crappy part is that none of my good finds are Atari games, so they never seem as important sadly
