Junie
Will a P16PRO40 programmer program the Eprom 2732 chip? I use the registered version of the P16PRO software, with with my programmer. If my programmer will not work with Eproms, anyone know where I can get a Eprom programmer for less than $200? I paid $30 for my PIC chip programmer, just the programmer-- had to buy the power supply, printer cable, and software seperate. So surely a Eprom programmer can be found more resaonable than $
AlanD
Not sure about the programmer you have being able to burn it but I would tend to doubt it. Try Xeltek. They have the refurbished Rommaster burners for I think $135. I'm very happy with mine but it is only good for 8 bit eproms without making adapters. I've used mine for over 2 years without a problem. By the way, don't forget you'll have to buy an eraser also for them if you plan on reusing the chips. AlanD
Chuck Gill
Junie, Try http://xtronics.com/memory/EPROM.htm they sell a nice little programmer for $150. It plugs into a parallel port. It's what I'm looking at to replace the antique burner I have. -Chuck
Rhindle The Red
Chuck, I was looking into getting a Pocket Programmer a few months ago (before I lost my job). If you get one, let me know how easy it is to set up and use. I may get one still...
Sheldon Sims
This is the burner I use. You can get it from eBay for $49.50 plus shipping. It includes the cable, power supply, and software on CD. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5&category=1504

Tsukasa
That's a Willem, right? I have seriously considered buying one of those! How well does it work? I downloaded the software and I am pretty impressed! Would you reccomend it? I'm asking this because all of the eprom burners that I have built haven't worked. Maybe it's just because I am not very good at building things . I am worried that it won't work and I'll be out $50 bucks, Which is a lot of money for me. I need to get a job.
