Arcade games you would've made good 7800 releases.

That, plus Nintendo WON the suit, and the game was pulled off the shelves.  Even all the sequels were yanked.

Not true. They were still available to purchase in Germany even after the ruling (home of Rainbow Arts). Ditto with Katakis and the ruling about R-Type.

Awww yeah! That's the ONE I would pay for. It hurts even more because it was listed in full cart lineups but never developed.

Really don't believe the 7800 could manage it, best to stick with the awesome Lynx version.

You never know. There was a thread about the polygon capabilities of the 7800 a little while back using F-18 Hornet as an example.

Wasn't Stun Runner in the works for the 7800?

No, not that i'm aware of. Never seen it on any lists. Really don't think it would be possible. The ST version sucks arse and thats a 16-bit machine!

I agree with 8th lutz about Shoa Lin Road, Rolling thunder and Tiger Road would be good too!

there are some lesser know shooters out there that i'd liek to see as well, Centuri's Eagle comes to mind..

I played this for the first time ever last weekend (it's at a retro arcade near me) at a party. It seemed so much worse than any of the other games. Difficult to imagine anyone enjoying this game.

Ahh, one of THE best arcade games I ever played! I remember first playing it at a hotel in Washington, DC sometime in 1982 I think, and was instantly addicted. I can't believe Atari never officially released it for any of their systems. Did it ever come out on any other systems (Coleco, NES, etc.)?

someone was hinting at a Proto for 2600, then i never heard any more of it. Sad, this makes me.

It's debatable if Eagle has collision detection issues or if you have to hit the enemies at a precise location to kill them off. Regardless, I enjoy the game as I played it in my arcade BITD. I played Eagle before I ever played Moon Cresta.

I would love to see GORF on the 7800.

Seconded.
