1992 Lynx catalog

Some of you might of seen a post I made more than a year ago where in I mentioned

I had the 1992 Atari Lynx catalog the very one with Batman Returns on the cover.

Which I recieved in a very strange way, it all goes back to 1992 when I took a

good friend down to the 'Taste of Chicago'. Which by the way is a big food fest

the city of Chicago runs right around the 4th of July. It was as we were walking

around we came across an Atari Tent where in they had Lynxs for people the play.

But they were also having power problems, it also seemed that part of downtown

was in the midst of a blackout. It was while we waited more than 1 hour as I

recall. That I began to talk to one of Atari's reps about the Lynx and other

Atari products. It seemed Atari's own reps did not have much hope

for the Lynx. Mainly the same problems we all talk about, battery life and quality

of games, etc.. As well as the rest of Atari's line, but it was because of my chat,

that I first heard about this catalog, and tried to convince the rep to give me

one. Instead of waiting until I was able to play the Lynx, it seemed after which then

they were suppose to be handed out and not before. But they did not know when the

power was to be restored, so he (the rep) gave me a challenge, I had to name the

same games that appear on any Atari home console that also appear on the NES. It

was a snap, but since that post I arranged to send some scans to Albert. Since I

am on dial up they had to be sent on CD via the mail, simply due to file size.

But as I said that was almost a year ago, I messaged him a few months back and Albert

said he was still working on it. I don't know about you, but I am tried of waiting

to them to be posted. So I decided to post them here by myself. These are in low

res only 150 dpi color and highly compressed jpeg. You see I am on dial up and had

to make it easy for myself to upload to this forum. But to anyone interested in

a High Res scan 600 dpi or better in Tif, not jpeg PM me.

Sorry that they are not all there right now, as this is taking a long time for me the rest will be posted tomorrow.

Cool, thx. Never actually seen a full size Lynx catalog before, just the little pamphlet ones.

One thing that I thought was interesting is that it lists Lynx Hockey & Blood & Guts Hockey as separate games. I was under the impression that Blood & Guts was renamed simply to Hockey but apparently they were 2 separate games. It's also interesting to see the games that they were advertising that never came out :(

I'm truly sorry for bumping up this 15-years old thread but Retromags recently released the Grey Matter catalogue #3 for everybody to download. Support their work, as they do a phenomenal job of preservating gaming magazines across all regions!
