zanza
If these people can buy this so common cart such a high price then how much should I put my Xenophobe mint in box, shrinkwrapped and never opened ?? 500 bucks ?? Well maybe I should do it !!
zanza
If you check the low feedback of the buyer, it has only three votes and two are coming from the seller of this Pacman....maybe they are the same unique person ??
Marco(2)
... and yet another "look at that ridiculous price" post. There's a handful of new topics on this on AtariAge almost every day... ...can't we just stop complainig about prices and talk more about playing, programming, collecting, writing about, discovering games etc? I assure you, that will be much more fun and informative! Cheers, Marco
jahfish
still it makes us keep an eye on those sellers we all shouldn't support. the bidding list obviously shows that this seller is simply ripping that collector .... the same guy pushing him up has also bought spark plugs for a T-model from 1919 as well as susuki add-ons for a motorbike. what a weird mixture of items ... plus he is also leading on the following items: Douglas Aircraft 1946 Company News Letter Vintage California Motorcycle License Plates Kawasaki 1973 Z1900 Tank Badges Honda 1969-1975 CB750 Racing Clutch Cover Suzuki GS 750 Oil Cooler Kit & Pressure Gauge Kawasaki Z1900 European Fork Reflectors & Cap Kawasaki Z1900 Stock Ignition Switch & Key Kawasaki Z1900 Tooltray Airbox Cover & Parts Honda CB750F Valve Adjustment Tool & Shims Kawasaki 1979 1980 KZ1000 MKII Sidecover Kawasaki KZ1000 MKII Side Cover Right Side Kawasaki KZ1000 MKII & Z1R Rear Fender Kawasaki 1969 & 1970 H1500 Kawasaki 1973-74 Z1900 Chain Gaurd Lexus 1993 Key With Remote Brand New!! Kawasaki Ninja 900 Gas Tank NICE!!! Kawasaki KZ1000 KZ900 Rear Disc Kawasaki KZ1000J KZ1000R ELR GPz1100 Tail well, what would you think of that ?!?! Rinsky
Good point jahfish. It looks like the previous bidder took your advice. He just Retracted his bid of $107.50 so now it's back to $11.00 It sure looks like this guy is ripping people off by bidding under another name on his own auctions. jahfish
yeah, more important than complaining or not about freaked out auctions, is to help collectors. so i sent him a mail as i know martin from previous auctions ...
Rinsky
That's why I think Inky's suggestion on having an Ebay weirdness message board is a great idea. Because this would help the collectors who do most of there buying online from getting ripped off. Also it would keep people like Marco happy Nice to see your out helping everyone jahfish. JL
Even though that high bid was retracted, the auction is not on the level. Which is not unusual a great deal of e-bay auctions that deal with collectibles have some sort of scam working. Their are many, many, many types of e-bay scams and variations on scams that when in doubt, don't bid. Only someone who is extremely naive, would not believe that a great deal of auctions are "rigged" in some way or another. It's just too easy to do so. jahfish
look at the bid history of the item ... looks like kz1327sc really really wants a pac man .... and now he's gonna get it .... i wonder how does it feel to buy your own stuff. in the meantime, i provided some links and adresses to martin and he should be able to get his game for 10-15 dollars ... Joystick Jolter
I"ll call a spade a spade. Uncle Bubba is a FRAUD...He sold Auntie Redneck aka kz1327sc his stinkie Nike sneakers last month and now she probably is making him sell them again because lo and behold they are up for sale again. His nom de Plum kz1327sc bought 6 items from him last month and only got feedback for 2. Nice Guy. As for the writer who suggest many or most auctions on eBay are, shall I say shady, I disagree. Oh, I'm not saying that some aren't, but I think the great majority and I'd put it at least over 98% of auctions are legitimate. I think that many of the buyers are very ill informed and willing to overpay and get involved in bidding up prices to a point way over what they should be, but that is the auction process at its best. Hysteria RULES in the auction house!!!
Marco(2)
fish, you're a cool guy, and you know you are. Of course, I cannot do anything else but admire your auctions. But the so-manieth topic on high Ebay prices just makes me feel sad, I guess... ... sorry guys, that's just how I feel... Cheers, Marco
Doc4
That is one crazy auction, but I admire you Jahfisch for taking this punk head on.
ATARIPITBULL
Holy Shi , I must be rich because I have three of those pac-man games sealed. I should leave my job now and go buy that speed boat I always wanted.
Marc Oberhäuser
Could we create a new section for this message board where people are free to rant about the prices of games? I am getting tired to see the same topic every week... Just my two Euro cents. Marc
