Kid vid on ebay- not mine

This is a truely rare item, and I thought it might make for interesting discussion... I am not trying to spam here.

I still don't think it's that rare of an item. At one time, I had 5 of these brand new sealed. My friend has come across at least 2 more of these on his travels. I'm not saying it's a common piece, but it pops up a few times in a year.

Without the game cassetts this auction won't go too high.The last one I saw with the games went way over $130.

Its just an old tape recorder right? I mean thats all that it was to begin with. I agree, without the games themselves I cant see the auction going for too too much. I guess $30

This is something I really don't understand... Quadrun is rated at 9 in the dp guide, the kid vid is a 10. So shouldn't it be more than a quadrun? As far as it being just an old tape recorder, the same thing really could be said about any atari game. Like, it's just an old atari game and therefore they are equal.

Anyway, I have the tapes and a kidvid... I'll see if the game can be played with a regular tape recorder.

1. Digital Press publishes a GUIDE, not the immutable word of God.

 

2. Supply is not the only thing that determines value. Demand has something to do with it as well.

Now see, that's really weird. I got my Kid Vid and some games in a lot and only paid about $50 for all of it. Since I sold most of the other stuff, you could say I got the Kid Vid pretty much for free. Of course I don't have the cable or any tapes, but atleast I have the unit once I get those.
