Am I being reasonable here?

I think I am, but I wanted to see what some of the more experienced sellers thought. I sold a boxed Bally Astrocade, with games, and it was working fine. I sent it out to the person who bought it on eBay, and they said it didn't work. I then told him to send it back for a refund. He did, but forgot the box, and I fixed it. I told him its fixed, and does he still want it, and he does, and wants me to ship it all back to him at my expense, and I'm offering to split the costs.

I don't think I should have to eat the shipping entirely, do you?

and yes, he paid to ship it back to me, for a refund. Now that its fixed, he wants it, and we've agreed to go halvesies on it.

Sounds like you got a great buyer. Since he paid to ship it back to you, and he paid half to have it shipped back, it's not actually "halvsesies" tho.

More like threequarteresies...

I would have paid to ship it back, but then I'm not a big seller.
