I did that once--I gave a niiiice set up to the fiance of my wife's best friend about 10 years ago. Then the friend stabbed my wife in the back (friend-wise, not physically!) so they stopped talking, and the fiance-now-husband turned out to be a real a-hole.

Wish I still had that Atari.

When i got back into Atari my friend Neonesmaster(Chris)sold me my 6-switch Atari,6 controllers, and about 30 or 40 games for about $40.00 which i thought was great. He then turned around and gave me 10 more games for free.I thought that was great and we still try and help each other out when we find games in the wild or online.
