General Atarian
Me too. I usually get them from thrift shops, however there are a couple of video game stores in my area that take in 2600 games and resell them, I can usually score some good stuff there every so often. Also, there are a few pawn shops that take them in too. However there are many collectors in my area So I have to be fast. Just now, within the last few weeks, got into trading with members of AtariAge, I found it pleasant and a good place to trade for games I don't have. Besides, Everyone is nice here. krisjohn
Pawnbrokers, swap-meets and garage sales. Your names for these things may vary. I haven't bought anything through eBay for at least 6 months. I haven't been looking. I'm more interested in rescuing intersting old stuff from pawnbrokers, swap-meets and garage sales -- where they are severly under-appriciated. And since I've gotten a full-time job again I've stopped listing stuff on eBay too. It's just too time consuming and not really worth it. chrisr
I have 4 huge flea markets within an hours drive from my house. I also have several friends and a girlfriend who enjoy flea marketing (checking out the girls, buying bootleg movies and cd's...). Almost my entire collection is from these 4 markets... I almost never find anything in thrifts, but this week I did find a digital camera in a st vincents.. for 8 bucks. Not a great camera but perfect for ebay pics 640x480. ATARIPITBULL
I hate to say it but a good part of my collection comes from ebay, but I also buy from Yahoo.com, worldofatari.com, bestelectronics.com, atari2600.com, from a local comic book store, & from people right here on Atariage.com. I don't know what my collection would look like today if it were not for all the information i get here at Atariage.com, I wet my bed at night just thinking about it!!!!!!!!!!!!
