+slx
Got a bunch of 16MB 30-pin SIMMs to fill my TT-RAM to 128MB. Must not think about the price per GB in comparison with a USB stick, however......at least I get more cubic inches per buck.... http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.de%2Fitm%2F161004311043
mimo
Was that one of the keyboards advertised with "brittle plastics, no warranty". If so, would like to know about your experience. Hope you didn't pay too much for the ROM/RAM, one set just fitting your needs was on EBay Germany recently: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.de%2Fitm%2FAtari-CX853-16kRam-Memory-Module-CX801-10K-Rom-Operating-System-%2F281090007718%3Fpt%3DDE_PC_Videospiele%26hash%3Ditem41724522a6 I have one of them, some keys easily fall off and I need to do something about that. Either superglue or blu-tac the keys on. Also several connections on the ribbon cable were not soldered to the keyboard correctly and I need to re-solder them

Is that what the B & C listings say???? I think that's what you're saying, but I bought one (as a spare) and it DID NOT say that in the listing. Electronically they work but key tops may bounce off when typing. We can not guarantee they will survive shipping and so we are selling these cosmetically New Mint but AS IS!!!” eBay Auction -- Item Number: 130882871101

Atari8bitCarts
Scored some good stuff last week. I've never seen the Demo cart boxed! The sunmark cart I would normally would have stayed away from but the construction looked so interesting so I picked it up. Hope you didn't pay too much for the ROM/RAM, one set just fitting your needs was on EBay Germany recently: http://rover.ebay.co...=item41724522a6 Sorry for the delay, I've only just installed the keyboard and it's working fine. Yes, it was one of those keyboards but I thought I'd take the risk with no other option to hand. Like mimo mentioned, I found the '4' key was loose, fell out in transit and bounced out on use but after a while it seems to have stuck. I can see there may be a problem though. All in all, I'm happy with it as I now have a fully working 800, all keys work and I've kept the keycaps off the old keyboard just in case. I saw this auction but why do the HERO carts have the label gone over the screws? Was it common to try to open this cart up or something? Almost all the carts I stumble on have screws exposed?????? And there are other games that have the same opportunity but the labels are fine...... Edited May 1, 2013 by chrislynn5

And there are other games that have the same opportunity but the labels are fine...... Yeah, I've seen that too. Some of mine look dimpled where the screw holes are located. Could be from handling many times and the holes could be from kids who can't resist and press on those popping them, just like bubblewrap But since the HERO cart is my 1st copy, it will be the primary play one until I get a pristine cart Edited May 1, 2013 by AtariGeezer
AtariGeezer
'sup with this thing? Did you score? If looks are anything to judge by...YES! It arrived 2 hours ago The RF cable was tucked inside the case and it's a GTIA version with the old thumb levers to open the shield/hatch. All keys work, but no carts or Bit-3 card inside... It does have the OS & Ram cards encased. So, yes, it is a SCORE Edited May 1, 2013 by AtariGeezer
