For what it's worth, if he were out to scam you I doubt he'd have left a positive. The ones you want to be skeptical of are the ones who hold your feedback hostage after you've paid and wait for you to give them positive first. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the USPS that screwed up...even when you pay for tracking, it doesn't seem to show on thier website until the item is delivered anyway, which totally negates the point of paying for tracking to begin with.

Did you pull his contact info to call?

Also for what it's worth...you got a really good deal, but I doubt good enough for someone to side offer him a significant amount more.

What i cant understand is why not answer my questions? Like how did it ship , with what carrier? Stuff like that. No answer, just a note saying it should have arrived. No joking it should have. I wasnt angry or skeptical til i was ingnored. I mean how hard is it to answer who shipped it, whats the tracking info and such. If you ask me, he could have gave a + in hopes I would blindly give him one and then have no recourse. Thats what Im wonderin. thanks for your opinion.

PS> how do you pull up his phone number? I asked him for it but he of course never responded to that neither.

I don't remember exactly how to pull contact info, but you have to sign back in using your friends ID. You can only pull contact info if you've done business (bought or sold) with that member. I think if you start the process of filing a complaint then Ebay will have a link to get contact info. Just as an FYI though when you pull his, ebay will also disclose your info to him as well IIRC.

How do you get caught up in the messes? lol Seem to recall some weird circumstances on a cuttle cart thing too.

Anyway, you should have used or made your own ebay account. There is no protection on paypal if the item isn't being shipped to the confirmed account holder's address. And since Paypal is owned by Ebay, I would assume that would nullify your ebay recourses as well, but can't say that with 100% certainty.

Just out of curiosity, did you check with your friend to see if maybe he got the package? Sometimes sellers just use the paypal listed address to ship to.

And yes, I'd say you're being impatient. Not only was it being shipped in the heart of the holiday rush, but the post office is coming off a 3 day weekend as well. I shipped a package on Dec 20, priority mail, and it took 10 days. So without confirmation as to how fast he shipped it, not knowing where it's going to, the USPS holidays and the blizzards in certain parts of the country, anything is likely right now.

Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were hoping for... but give it a few more days before getting huffy would be my suggestion.

I am being patient, Im giving it until the end of the week, saturday in fact and it is being shipped to the correct destination. My protection is intact. It was bought on the 14th. So if you take a few days to ship, fine but atleast anwer a question as a seller like WHo did you use to ship it? You sound as if you know who he used by your comments. Wish i knew! No tracking info on the page so i guess he didnt use click n ship or whatever its called. You shipped on the 20th and your pkg has arrived. I would think my pkg was shipped before then but F if I know. Mine was supposed to be priority, was yours also priority?

I dont buy off ebay in general because most of the time, something like this happens. 100% feedback, it dont matter. So you think the response I got was enough? What kind of person leaves a note like "it should have been there" and thats it? Atleast answer a question proper. It had immediate payment required is why I needed him to buy it. I dont have my own paypal. 3 weeks for priority is one thing. But its still hasnt arrived and when you cant answer a quetion as a seller, thats a problem and thats what is the biggest problem. If he had answered my quetions at all, I doubt we'd be having this conversaion but thanks for your insight.

As far as the CC2, It wast a big deal at all. I think mine works but I dont have the time to read the manual, its 26 pgs. Klax was on it and that worked so i assume it does work and since I cant replace the CC2, Im waiting til i have the time to figure it out so i dont F it up. i got the coleco and 5200 atarimax cart and figured them out quick. I could replace them if i broke em so i waited to see how that went over the holidays. But no problem with the CC2 that I recall.

Here is a link to the auction. I was tempted to use the buy it now but I only made an offer because cash has been pretty tight lately. My money says that he is on Atari Age.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...DME:B:BODO:US:1

Actually Mcgrail, thats one of the reasons I had to move fast, it had an offer already and wasnt listed long. Good timing for me for once. And when i saw it was you after I won it, i was just thinking I should ask you if he sent it your way by mistake somehow but by your response, i could see that no he hasnt. An answer from him would be nice and he even states in his ad, he hates to give these up! that says to me now that i have no games, please lend me christmas money at the very least. Somethings not right.

My money wa and is tight too but i couldnt pass this up as it was perfect to start my collection with. i have about 15 games now but this would be nice. Doubles Im givng to various people here but I cant if it never comes. :|

You asked if you were being impatient in the original post, I posted that I thought you were. Your response is that you aren't. Sounds like you have your mind made up. Good luck!

Jeez Ant,

I'm hoping those INTY controllers I sent you arrive okay.....don't need to have some angry dude on my doorstep spreading lamb's blood on the door and yelling like a maniac! :D

Atleast you responded LMAO! That gives you more time. LOL. Fact is, the dude wont answer a question. I mean 3 weeks and you cant tell me tracking info or if you used usps or ups or fed ex etc. Just wrote me back once stating they should have been there, and as Ive said NO Fing shit! heck i can deal with broken shit, sure I'll be pissed but not like I am whe Im ignored completely...all i want is an informative response. more than one sentence long. Is that too much to ask. I guess I expect everyone to be reliable when I should realize by now its just not the norm. Oh well, gonna go watch Kill Bill, then maybe Reservoir Dogs. 2 days left and counting for James Tompkins to at the very least email me. Cyas ;)

Reply by tntgamesif: I sent item, gave refund, did communicate. Received threatening e-mails. Avoid. Jan-05-07 10:15

Follow-up by tlclwncare: if item was sent than why did you give refund you are liar and not to be trusted Jan-05-07 12:02

Sounds like he was doing well until January, then he exploded. I use USPS delivery confirmation. It's not a tracker, by no means, but it gives my buyers piece of mind in that I've shipped their orders. There's no excuse for poor communication. It's dingbats like this that make the world difficult for honest auctioneers. :skull:

You should file a claim with Paypal asap.

Nah, use his local police as an escort and go pick them up in person is the better option. If he has the carts he is in possesion of stolen goods and the cops will make him give them to you and file charges if you so desire (or they might file the charges and you don't have a choice in the matter). If he doesn't have the carts he has commited fraud under $5k. Either way he's fucked and you get your just due. People don't realize how serious Mail Fraud is untill they get the knock on the door with a fedreal warrent in hand.

Not to say I necessarily don't believe you that it CAN happen, but not for a second do I believe that cops would bother with that. I work at a bank, and the amount of fraud that people either commit or try to commit, and the cops come...take a report...and do nothing else nothing ..is unbelieveable. It seems like if it's not a traffic ticket, or a major felony they don't give two shits. One extreme or the other, everything in between gets ignored.

Ok, back on topic.

Been there and had to do it. You call your local police department and then your locals fax the charges to his locals and they enforce the warrent and go check into the matter to get your stolen goods back. It's a fact, call your laywer and ask him if I'm right or not. I've done it with success in the past. I had a guy try to rip me off for a NES toploader for just under $100 dollars. An email to the FBI and a call to my and his local cops later I had my cash back in 48hrs.
