  1. Anything that doesn't require a expansion module or special controller, and any game I don't have. What I have already: b.c.'s quest for tires 2 burgertime buck rogers carnival centipede cosmic avenger dk dk jr. defender dukes of hazzard facemaker gorf keystone kapers ladybug looping miner 2049 moustrap mr. do pepper 2 popeye roc n rope smurf smurf paint 'n play space fury space panic subroc time pilot venture zaxxon thanks for looking through my list of stuff I have. PM me if you have some games for me.
  2. I have been working on this off and on for two years now. I think it's almost about done. I went back and worked on making sure the fry and the burger was visible on every level. And now it's all just bug checking. If you'd like to join in the burger fun, you can download the game on its official website. The ROM right now has a secret warp function on the title screen. Pressing the 1 button for each level you want to skip. For example, to start on level 2 you press 1 once then start. This was put in so I can test certain levels easier. I drew up a label for the game just in case anyone wants to release this. Also, if you have a Game Gear Everdrive, tell me how level 6 (the skyscrapers) looks. Since my Game Gear doesn't have a very good display, it looks weird. I just want to know if it's that way on all Game Gears or just mine.
  3. FedEx is stupid. They think my correct address is incorrect.

  4. So my Colecovision was barely working. Faded colors, sprites sometimes not showing up, other stupid quirks. Yes, I tried cleaning the power switch. I even tried cleaning the reset button. It still was being a barely functional machine. So I decided to get another one off of eBay. I got the cheapest one there. It had no wires, but it said it works fine. Well, I just got the mail today and there was my Colecovision. I opened the box, stuck my wires in, and... IT WORKS! Bright, lovely colors, no missing sprites, working sound, everything is fantastic! Donkey Kong, my go-to test game, works with absolutely no graphic lines. I tried a few other games that weren't working. They work too! So I guess the lesson here is do not leave a Colecovision out in the garage for a couple years. I will always keep it in my room so it won't decide to go bad like my other one did. While waiting for my package, I worked on Flying Hamburgers some more. I changed some colors so the fry shows up better. It used to be a hot yellow. Now it's orange. I changed level 4 to a meadow because it was a mountain and I decided that's really close to the snow level so I changed it. I first it was going to be a beehive, so I composed some fast tempoed music, but it turned out the fry wasn't going to be visible. So I created some (hopefully) calm music for a nice, serene meadow. So the package came. the mail came. As a bonus, there wasn't anything bad in the mail today! So I'm guessing today will be a good day. I can play a Colecovision and have it work great. I'd get a new Game Gear, but those are really expensive.
  5. "Steve's name is Johnny."

  6. I worked some more on my jaguar game. I put in a second banana for the pineapple to dodge. I also changed the pineapple's looks. And I changed the title screen. This took awhile. I saved a little space by making the background a 4-bit image instead of an 8-bit one. It's just one color, but it wasn't working if I changed it to 1 bit. I changed the font a little. I would like to add another tropical fruit to collect for bonus points. In the 7800 version it was a papaya, but it ended up looking more like a green blob. I didn't like it. So I may make it a lemon instead. And I would like a grand total of 8 bananas bouncing around the screen, perhaps more. VirtualJaguar has awful control scheme. I tried changing the directions to the arrow keys but they quit working. I got about 16 hours of sleep last night and I'm still very sleepy. I just figured why stay awake being sleepy and suffering when I could go to sleep and not be suffering because I'm sleepy? But then again, I'm always sleepy.
  7. I returned to work on the jaguar version of "pineapple." Why? I don't know. I don't have an idea for the sheep game. My pineapple code was a big huge mess, so the first order was to clean it up and make sure it still works. I put the ingame code in a sub and the title screen stuff in another sub. Then, I decided to add a sound effect for when a banana hits a wall. So I played around with the MIDI drum set and put it in. Next on the agenda was to make it not play when the banana is moving into the playfield. And then that got done. I had tried to eat some berries so I wouldn't feel so sleepy all the time, but it didn't really help that much. I woke up at 4 a.m. and it's not even noon and I'm sitting here yawning a lot as I'm typing this out. I could go to sleep and stay asleep all day long. I wouldn't need my pills since I'd be sleeping all the time.
  8. So this took a few hours that I want back again. In the words of Hans Moleman: "I'd just waste them anyway." I don't know what the giant sheep are up to. But one thing is certain: They're invading Ecuador. I have finally understood a few things. Like how to define 8x8 squares and put them on the screen. I was so sleepy yesterday. I was only awake for two hours. I don't know what was wrong. I kept on being sleepy. And, since I was sleepy, no sense being awake and suffering with being asleep, so I went to sleep. And when I woke up, I worked on this. It was hard. And if anyone can draw a better sheep, let me know. I still don't know much about the Colecovision and how it works, but hey, I did something.
  9. I made one for the Odyssey 2 called "The Horrible Ghosts of Uranus."
  10. OK, thanks. This seems a lot harder than INTYBasic for some reason. Is the Colecovision more powerful or something?
  11. I've decided to dabble in Colecovision programming now that there's a Basic for it. This is what I have so far. Yes, the name of the game is "I Sawed the Thawed Flawed Cod Fraud's Pod Wad." The back story: After being thawed, the flawed cod (who is actually a trout) swam downstream to a lake here. He brought along his favorite wad of pea pods, with which he plans to take over the world (and make everyone think he's a cod). You have to stop the cod fraud, but all you have is a saw. So what you do is you saw the pod wads. Think a little like Alien Greed. I want to start out simple. If the cod touches your saw, you lose a life. The cod gets faster and faster until you can't dodge him any more so you're forced to touch him and the game ends. You may remember a similar game from when I tried assembly, but I got further since the Basic came along.
  12. I seem to remember the Colecovision having an "introduction" screen showing the game title and copyright. Is there a way in CVBasic to turn this on and add title and copyright lines if we wanted to?
  13. Thanks! I thought border would only change the border, like in the Intellivision.
  14. I can't change the color. I tried putting in code from the examples. I tried writing my own code. I tried reading the manual. Nothing seems to work. All I want is a blue background. Why can't I have one? What do I do?
