Zaxxon 32K fixes everything that was wrong with the original 5200 cartridge by Sega. On all stages, you get the genuine "feel" of playing the arcade machine. This includes the scrolling speed and various improvements made to the gameplay.

This game is perfect in so many ways! The controls are flawless with this game. This is definitely the Zaxxon to get for the 5200.

I really enjoyed playing this on the 5200. When comparing this version to other home versions I've played, I found the gameplay mechanics in this version to be superior. Specifically, I have played it on the 2600 and the Colecovision. I found this port to be superior in control, sound, and graphics. I think its a great addition to the 5200 library.

This tweaked Atari computer port is the best version of Zaxxon on 5200. That doesn't make it a great game though. To be honest, I've never played a home port of Zaxxon that was anything as good as the coin-op original.

Comparing this enhancement to the original Atari 5200 game: I'd rate 5200 original Zaxxon 2/5. It looked good and scrolled var more smoothly than the CV version; but it also had cheap collision, it cut out several gameplay features that even the CV version had, and it scrolled too fast!

This 32k version is an improved port of the superior Atari 8bit computer version, with missiles and vertical control in the space sections restored, and the collision is improved here and there. It still scrolls too fast, but you can adjust.

So if you love the "differentness" of the home ports of famous 80's coin-ops and need a home version of Zaxxon, this is the one to get!
