This game is super duper hard. I can't get passed the first level. This version blows the Genesis version out the water with the 64-bit power of the Jaguar. If you want to try a challenging SHMUP give this a try.

Xenon 2: megablast is a very challenging space shooter with superb graphics and game play. It has five levels of play with a boss at the end of each level. There are power ups and cash credits to collect throughout the levels. At certain points in the game there are opportunities to buy upgrades for yout ship, using the cash credits you collected, to give you a better chance at completing each level. Part of the fun is trying to decide which weapons will be most effective during a particular level, and which weapons you can have together. Apparently you can't have side shot and rear shot at the same time, which is a shame because the enemies attack from the top, bottom and sides at the same time. Overall this is a very fun, challenging, and at times, frustrating game. I don't believe anybody will be able to beat this game in the first week of playing. The game comes with the option to continue three times, so you do have the opportunity to practice on those particular parts of the game that gives you the most trouble.
