Take classic Sega Master System, Atari 2600, and 8-bit computer games to a whole new level with the Super SMS - an arcade controller built around an authentic Sanwa™ JLF-TP-8YT ball-top joystick with an octagonal restrictor plate and two pair Suzo-Happ pushbuttons.

Super SMS transforms gameplay on all the great Sega Master System joystick games, like Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Afterburner, Choplifter, Double Dragon, Psycho Fox, and - of course - the Sonic the Hedgehog games. The octagonal restrictor plate is the perfect compromise between a 4-way and 8-way joystick, providing distinct landing points for your stick in all eight directions. The Suzo-Happ arcade pushbuttons deliver true left/right two-button control just like the original Sega Master System game pads.

Super SMS also brings new playability and excitement to classic Atari 2600 and 8-Bit computer games. The Super SMS is 100% compatible with the classic Atari CX-40 joystick familiar to owners of the Atari 2600, Atari Flashback, and many of the 8-bit era computers. But because our old-school concave arcade fire buttons are driven by super sensitive micro-switches, you can cancel your membership in the Numb Thumb Club!

Easy to Play. Super SMSs are built in an 8" x 14" sloped aluminum housing that is stable on the table or happy in your lap, with the joystick and classic arcade fire buttons positioned for a natural wrist position. The ambidextrous button layout allows you to switch to the most comfortable control scheme that each game requires. Under the hood, all harness connections are soldered and heat-shrink wrapped. The result is a controller to last a lifetime. The molded DB-9 cord length is approximately 5'6" (1.6m).

Customize your Super SMS with rainbow of colors for your joystick ball and pushbuttons, including the amazing gemstone balls in red, blue, yellow, green, purple, and "smoke". Make yours a Twin! By popular demand, we've added the option to build out your Super SMS in a twin control format, just like our popular Super Twin 78. There's no way to squeeze the ambidextrous button format into the case, but you will receive two complete Sega Master System System control sets in one case for any twin stick games or for cozy gameplay with a friend. Please refer to the following photo when selecting your knob and button colors on the second control set.

To turn your Super SMS into a Super SMS Twin, please select the option "Make it a Twin" above, and then make your color selections for the two Player 2 buttons.

Edladdin controllers are built to order and take approximately 3-4 weeks to ship. Sometimes we can get them out sooner, but there are various factors that can affect the time it takes to complete controllers. You will receive an email from the store with the tracking number as soon as your order has shipped.
