  1. I don't own a 2600+, but it appears @Albert has tested both of them and they work, so you should be good to go.
  2. Glad to hear you're enjoying it! I made Dungeon II with the specific goal of seeing how much I could squeeze into 4K (same size as Adventure and Haunted House). I wanted to see if Atari could have done something like it back in the '79-'80 time frame. It turns out they could have, which is a little sad when you think about what could have been (Looking at you Swordquest). I test my stuff on a real 2600, Stella & z26. As far as all the emulation based hardware that is out there now, they all seem to have compatibility issues for varying reasons. Sometimes the community comes up with firmware fixes, etc. to help, but for the most part I consider it to be the manufacturer's problem to resolve.
  3. This is his AA account. You may want to try a PM, but he hasn't been active since 2019. I still use z26 in tandem with Stella when developing. https://forums.atariage.com/profile/19583-john-saeger/
  4. Hi Al, Happy for you. I'm sure this will make your life much easier. On the homebrew front, what rights does this give Atari? In theory I wouldn't be adverse to my stuff being available through their distribution channels, but only if some sort of agreement was in place. I don't want to find out one day that Dungeon is suddenly in the VCS store or whatever without my knowledge.
  5. Not really. Not in that sense. I remember what it was like trying to bang something out in that amount of time. Just wondering if Thomas was ever going to pick up the thing he was working on for SS that didn't get too far along. It was an interesting start though.
  6. Any plans to return to the thing that was abandoned?
  7. David V is @espire8 and there's no way to be 100% sure about this, but I think Nathan Strum might be @Nathan Strum 😃.
  8. I'm OK with it. I released the bin for Cold War a long time ago. Don't think I ever saw a binary for the finished version of the whole thing. Still have a "mostly there" bin I play from time to time. If Al still has "download section" plans for the store and wants to go that route, I'm OK with that too.
  9. Looks like this confirms it. 30 hrs for the non-2600 versions only. Not knocking the programmer at all but Atari marketing is setting him up for an unhappy user base. From the below: It also offers over 30 hours of gameplay and a time-trial feature. But all that is for the version available on modern consoles and the PC. https://www.techspot.com/news/99049-first-official-atari-2600-cartridge-over-30-years.html
  10. Actually, looking at their press release again, I think the 30 hrs is meant for the VCS/Console version ONLY. Not the 2600. There are 80 screens on the 2600 version. Watch the 47 second video above and see how many screen get cleared. It definitely will not need a save key.
  11. I seriously doubt there is 30 hours of game play. Watching the video, the score appears to start @ 25000 seconds and counts down. So, close to 7 hours max if you take the entire time. Now, there may be variations with more time or whatever, but going by what's been shown....

Hi! Glad to know people are still playing it after all these years. No, I didn't make that label. It's new to me. The Flashback Portable is known to have certain emulation problems. If you play in Stella or on real hardware, it should display normally.
  13. Hi David, how are you?

Maybe you don't remember me, we met on the Videopac forum, my name is Rafael. At the time that Jungle Girl was released for Odyssey,

I suggested that it make something like Dungeon for Odyssey, a game that I love. At the time, you said you would think about it and even sent a screenshot of a project that I keep to this day.

We started here in Brazil a project to create a beautiful collection for Odyssey, with poster cards, and several goodies. Discover our website: https://experienciaodyssey.com.br/

    and our releases:

It would be a great pleasure (and a dream) to have Dungeons in Odyssey2. Think about it. ;)
