  1. My favourite games i never had as a kid are Xenophobe, Ms.Pac-Man and Millipede. I always wanted Ms.Pac-Man as a kid but somehow never got it. Last Summer i found it on a Flea-market and i was really impressed how much better it is than Pac-man. A must have, no doubt! Same goes for Millipede which i also found on a Flea-market last Summer... I never cared much about it as a kid coz i liked Centipede but it was never my favourite Game... So i just thought it wouldn´t be much better than Centipede! But i was very wrong... while Centipede is just a good game Millipede is a rush!!! Bigger, better, faster, more!! I never thought it would be that good!!!!! Well, i´ve never heard of Xenophobe as a kid. I got it from Ebay and to my delight it turned out to be one of the best and most fun Games i ever played on my 2600! Xenophobe rocks!!!
  2. Kung Fu master on the 2600 has some great Graphics but the Controlls and the Collision-Detection are terrible!! When i really try hard and get used to the Controlls after some time it´s even fun to play for a while... But i could never reach Level 5, the first 4 Levels is all i´ve seen of it so far... I still think even on the 2600 it could have been done better, butit´s just disapointing! I prefer to play the C64-Version!!!
  3. Yep, i also think Star Voyager is boring. It´s not a crap-game but it gets boring after a few minutes. I just think it´s not as good as you would expect an Imagic Game to be. Just compare it with Cosmic Ark, Demon Attack or Atlantis and you´ll see what i mean...
  4. I wonder that nobody mentioned Battlezone. I like it but the 2600version has definitely not much to do with the Arcade-version. The worst Arcade-Ports are Pac-man and Donkey Kong, no doubt!
  5. Yeah... Magic Knight Rayearth.... I ordered it by Mail-Order and payed about 160 DM (ca. 80 US$) for it, by far the most expensive Saturn-game i ever bought... Dreamcast-Stuff seems to become rare quite fast, also here in Germany. This makes me a bit nervous coz i still don´t have RE:Code Veronica, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia II and some other Dreamcast-Classics... I would suggest get your Dreamcast-Stuff now!!!! It won´t get cheaper from now on... Let´s see for how much used Dreamcast games go next Year! I have a bad feeling about this...
  6. If Moon Patrol would be a 5 in "difficulty ranking" than Gravitar must be at least a 7, or what??!!! It´s the hardest Game i ever played on the 2600.... All in all it´s not a bad Idea, but as many games have various difficulty-levels i think it would be too much work!
  7. My Videogame history goes like this: Atari 2600 --> Commodore 64 --> SNES --> Saturn --> Dreamcast Besides these i also have some others like: - Philips G7000 (german Odyssey 2) - Interton VC 4000 (only sold in Europe from 1978 - 1982) - Intercord XL 2000 (german Arcadia 2001) - SHG Blackpoint FS 2000 (Germany only, i guess?!) - Saba Videoplay System Fairchild (german Channel F) - NES - Mega Drive - a NES-Clone with 20 built in Games - Jaguar (just need a Power Supply,TV-Cable and Joypad so i can finally play with that) - 2 Pong Consoles I also had a Gameboy but i never liked it. I´m no Fan of Handheld Games. Only my Saturn, Dreamcast and Atari 2600 are hooked up permanently. My favourite of all those is the good old Atari 2600! Man, when we were Kids my friends and i played with it for Hours, day after day. And nowadays i still play with the 2600 every day while all the other Consoles are hardly used, except for the Saba Videoplay.
  8. Yep, i got Mangia from a Schoolmate ages ago. I liked it as a Kid, it was not terribly exciting but quite funny! And at least it´s a unique game, not just another pac man or Space Invaders-Clone. Unfortunately i was stupid enough not to buy it from my mate back then. So i doubt i will be able to get it for a fair Price nowadays! Too Bad.......
  9. The most weird game i ever played on the C64 was a game were you had to examine (or so) a dead Frog, like in school! (Sorry, but i can´t describe it better with my lousy English, hope you know what i mean!). Can´t remember the Name of it, but i´m pretty sure i still have it somewhere...
  10. It seems like i´m the only one who likes the good old Channel F??!!! I always liked the Controllers and i still play Labyrinth, Bowling or Torpedo with my Girlfriend from time to time! But, nevermind! I enjoy this Machine!!!! :-P

    Obelix

Yes man, Obelix is a fantastic Game! I love it! Besides the good Graphics i especially love it for it´s unique Gameplay! I haven´t played anything quite like Obelix! And not to forget about that nice little Tune it plays when Miraculix walks by.... I also like Asterix, but after a while it gets too fast for me (mostly after i finished 1 round with Obelix)... Btw., is Taz really absolute the same Game as Asterix just with different graphics ????!!! I haven´t played it yet...
  12. Hmm.... this maybe a bit off topic, but i always enjoyed playing Mr.Do! and Mr.Do!´s Castle on the C64. So what about the 2600-version?!! How good is it??!! I thought about getting it but as i never played the 2600-Version i´m not sure if i should grab it or not....
  13. Hey, doesn´t anyone here like E.T. for the 2600??!!! I kinda liked it as a kid. I only had the Cart, no manual so i had no idea what to do in the Game. But after i played it again and again i slowly found out what i had to do till i finally brought E.T. home. I still like it, it has good Graphics and although it´s maybe the most confusing game i ever played i still play it from time to time! Just remember what kind of "Hippie-Experience" it was bringing the Flower back to live in one of those pits.... Quite bizarre......
  14. I´m not sure if those german Versions of the Fairchild channel F were Clones or if the Companies who made them had a license from Fairchild. Even here in Germany there is only little known about those Consoles.... Seems like nobody really cares about them...
  15. Has anyone played DD and/or DD II on the C64??!! I played them ages ago, i can hardly remember... But i still remember that those 2 games weren´t very amusing at all!!!
