Baby Pac-Man, Astro Blaster, and Gauntlet II. Several waves from Astro Blaster are eerily similar to Activision's Megamania for the 2600. Hmmmmm. |
From the, "You-got-your-pinball-machine-in-my-video-game!" department, Baby Pac-Man, which features both a video screen and a small pinball playfield. When playing the video portion of the game, you get to the pinball section by exiting via chutes at the bottom of the screen. Unfortunately, neither aspect of this game is particularly good. |
Berzerk ("Stop the humanoid, Stop the intruder!") and Crazy Climber. If Frenzy (the sequel to Berzerk) was at the show, I would have been playing it for several hours. |
Q*bert and a mini Centipede cabinet. |
Cruis'n World and The House of the Dead. |
Donkey Kong and Reactor. |
Two rare Williams games in even rarer plastic cabinets: Blaster and Bubbles. |
Three Williams games in a row, Robotron: 2084 (one of my favorite arcade games), Blaster, and Bubbles. |
NBA Jam (one of the few games I did not play) and Q*bert. |
A four player Track & Field. |
A "Multicade" cocktail cabinet, that had several classic arcade games to choose from, including Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Man Jr., Galaxian, Galaga, and so forth. This machine sold for $1700 at the show! |
Ms. Pac-Man cocktail. |
The first row of pinball machines. |
The same row of machines, taken from the opposite side of the room. |
Another row of pinball machines. |
The second row again, taken from the other side of the room. I really have no idea why there are chairs in front of some of these machines, as you'd be hard pressed to paly the games sitting down! |
World Cup Soccer, Medieval Madness, and Dracula. |
Dracula and Monster Bash. |
Junkyard Wars and Theatre of Magic. |
Circus Voltaire (one of the strangest pinball machines I've seen), and one of my favorites, Arabian Nights. |
High-Speed and its sequel, The Getaway. You don't often see both of these machines side-by-side! |
Revenge from Mars, the sequel to the older Attack from Mars. This is one of two "Pinball 2000" machines released by Williams, which unfortunately were their last machines. |
Nitro Ground Shaker and Evel Knievel. |
