  3. Thanks qix_maniac. I wanted to check on here first before buying elsewhere.
  4. According to the Atari 8-bit computer FAQ page, I need 3 Atari 800 home computer adapters and possibly others. http://www.faqs.org/faqs/atari-8-bit/faq/section-47.html Atari #C014319 Compatible models: 400, 800, 822, 850, 1200XL, 1010, 1020 Atari #C017945 Compatible models: 400, 800, 810, 822, 850, 1200XL, 1010, 1020, 1050, XF551 I assume the second is the more suitable adapter with adequate power for the units. I am interested in purchasing a few so bulk is preferred but if you only have 1 or 2 let me know your asking price and shipping. Thanks, Matt
  5. The Tron 2: Legacy pinball machine is coming from a place in Grandy, North Carolina located near the Outer Banks. They recently opened up and are a good drive from where you're at, but convenient if heading to Nags Head, Corolla, Manteo, Kill Devil's Hill, Kitty Hawk, and so forth down there. From the Virginia boarder they are about 35 minutes away straight southbound. There goal is to be open all year as they also serve food and drinks along with a gift shop and small convenience store. Awesome setup in my opinion. You can check out their list of machines on Aurics Aurcade site, their main concentration is pinball with over 40. I'd like to add that there will be Atari hardware there, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense would it? We have the Atari 2600, 5200, and 7800 consoles, no Jaguar at the moment. For computers we have 800xl, 130xe, 65xe, 1024st, and others. There is limited room available but there will be a dedicated space for consoles, another for computers, then for arcades and pinball. If the hardware you want to use isn't out just ask us and we'll see if it's available.
  6. Our first outing was in August 2010 with over 200 attendees throughout the day. Last year storms persistently canceled our schedule date and we're hoping for the best of weather this time around. We are speculating between 300 to 400. Vendors will be at this event so we're hoping the word spreads a bit further. What makes it a huge leap over last time is we are expecting to exceed the 16 arcades and a number of pinball machines are planned as stated above. There aren't many places you can find Tron 2: Legacy pinball let alone set to freeplay!
  7. We are returning with Freeplay 2 hosted at Chesapeake Central Library! When: Saturday, March 31st, 2011 9am to midnight Where: Chesapeake Central Library 298 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322 Gaming: Play video games on arcades, consoles, and computers in addition to pinball machines. Consoles from Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Sony, Panasonic, Microsoft, NEC & Hudson Soft, and dedicated Pong machines among many! Classic computing reaches out with Tandy, Commodore, Apple, Atari, and Texas Instruments. New pinball machines will make an appearance including Tron2: Legacy and Dark Knight, but also expect StarTrek: The Next Generation and Hook with more to come! Movies: All day showings of movies influenced by the video game culture. 9am - Mario Brothers 11am - Mortal Kombat 1pm - Final Fantasy: Advent Children 3pm - Double Dragon 8pm - Tron 2: Legacy 10pm - Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Movies provided by Fantasmo Cult Cinema Explosion. Panels: Panel discussions on a broad range of gaming subjects. There will be a demonstration of what makes an arcade arcade and pinball work and basic repair. Comedy stand-up and history of gaming with Derek Williams. Competition and high score gaming with Dave Hernly of Auric Aurcade. Get into collecting and discover interesting or rare games locally without over paying through online auctions. Get updates on the Freeplay 2 page.
  8. Hurricane Irene has caused the city of Chesapeake to close its facilities down for the weekend; so the event is being postponed. We're going to be looking at dates to reschedule so I'll get the word out once it's known.
  9. Confirmed, we have several pinball machines added to the line-up along with a few of the new Stern pinball machines at Freeplay include: Tron Legacy (Limited edition) and Dark Knight (Limited edition) Starwars Episode 1 (Williams 2000), Dr. Who, Hook, Lord of the Rings, and others! There's a lot stirring and it's less than a week away so if you can managed to come out on the 27th.
  10. Hello once again to those around Hampton Roads! Last year we had a blast and are running a second event on August 27, and it's FREE! 11. Do you have a serial number to share?
  12. Mine is a 4-port residing at S.N. 0007273 (SV-372).
  13. Something tells me Centipede and Missile Command are not among his game selection. The box appears to be in spectacular shape and bet the trackball just glides, if everything was stored properly of course. So is this "old new stock" discovered in the closet or was this picked up years ago at a second hand shop? I'm curious as to if you purchased this back in the day and just never used it.
  14. Cool little video; thanks for the share! I've never seen that picture of a conference before where it was a long row of consoles with game demonstrations, that was really cool. Picked up a few new tidbits of information on the system's background so that's always good. Can't say I'll be one of those to jump in and participate on the crazy collectors auction for one of these.
  15. The machines have been delivered today! What we have: Rygar (cocktail) Robotron 2084 Police Trainer X-Men (4-player) Ms. Pac-Man Ameri-Darts 2x Neo-Geo MVS (Big Reds) Dragon's Lair Pop'n Music Donkey Kong Soul Calibur (Euro JAMMA machine) Street Fighter II Fighting Vipers Dr. Who (pinball) ... And many consoles and classic computers. Check it out if you live or plan to travel anywhere near the area!
