 Organizers of the Classic Computer and Gaming Show have announced plans for their next show, to be held on May 27, 2006 at the National Guard Armory in Lorain, Ohio. CCAG gatherings are free to all who attend, and if you're into classic games and computers and are in the area, you'll want to be sure to stop by and have some fun! Vendors, clubs, and collectors will be displaying and selling their retrogaming and retrocomputing goods, from Pong and Atari to Nintendo, Apple and IBM to Commodore and everything in between with many set up for you to play with and explore.  While many prototypes of unreleased games have surfaced over the years, there are a few notorious titles that have not. This includes Ladybug, a title that appeared in arcades and was even advertised in Coleco's Atari 2600 Catalog, but never saw the light of day. It's not even known if work was ever begun on the Atari 2600 port. Well, Atari 2600 fans won't have to wait much longer for a version of Ladybug, as Atari enthusiast John W. Champeau (johnnywc in our forums) is now developing a 2600 version.
The object of Ladybug is to clear the maze of all the dots while avoiding up to four insects. Once all four insects have entered the maze, a bonus vegetable appears in the middle. Eating this veggie not only earns big points, but also freezes the insects for a few seconds. Also appearing in the maze are hearts that increase the bonus multiplier and letters that can be used to spell EXTRA for a bonus ladybug or SPECIAL to earn a round in the bounty harvest maze full of vegetables to eat! If the insects start to gain on the ladybug, she can use the revolving doors to block their attack as she tries to clear each maze.

 Mark Grebe, author of the excellent Atari800MacX Atari 8-bit/5200 emulator for Mac OS X, has released a new Atari-related program for OS X, Sio2OSX. Sio2OSX is a peripheral emulator for the Atari 8-bit computers that allows the Atari computer to use an OS X based Macintosh as a disk drive, a cassette drive, and a printer. Sio2OSX peforms functions similar to APE or SIO2PC on Windows based computers. Requirements are OS X 10.2 or later, and a PowerPC-based Mac, as well as a FTDI based USB Serial adapter and a SIO2PC Hardware cable.  Adventure II author Ron Lloyd has been hard at work recently on the unofficial sequel to the classic Atari 2600 game Adventure. He's now made available a new, playable demo of the game in anticipation of the game's release in December. This is the first new demo since June, and features the following improvements over the last public demo:- Creatures are fully animated
- Additional background animations
- Troll AI improved, plus he now has a sleep cycle
- Minotaur has a patrol route now
- New mazes and screens
- Game engine tweaks

 Strat-O-Gems Deluxe is a new Atari 2600 game by John Payson, originally created for the 2005 Minigame Competition that bears similarities to Columns, Jewel Master, and Salu's Acid Drop. In Strat-O-Gems Deluxe, colored gems fall from the top of the screen in groups of three. Any time three or more adjacent gems of the same color line up vertically, horizontally, or diagonally they will disappear. Any gems above them will then fall down; if these create new groups of three or more gems, those too will disappear, leading to chain reactions. Your job is to score as many reactions and chain reactions as possible before the gems reach the foul line. If any gems remain over the foul line after all reactions are complete, the game will end.

JagMIND: Bomb Squad is an explosive and addictive arcade / puzzle homebrew game for the Atari Jaguar.  Ben Heckendorn, known for creating a wide variety of portable game systems that were never intended to be put into portable form (including several Atari 2600 models) has unveiled his latest creation: A portable Atari 800 XE Laptop!  Atari2600.com has announced the immediate availability of Flip and Flop for the Atari 5200. Flip and Flop was a game originally released for the Atari 8-bit computers by First Star Software, and recently ported to the Atari 5200. In Flip and Flop, you play the roles of Flip the Kangaroo and Mitch the Monkey, working to help them escape from the Zoo of the Future.
